So...it turns out that New York City is just as tremendous as I had expected it to be. Today is my second day at Interview Magazine, a place that I have quickly developed a fondness for.
This place is the epitome of cool, at least in my mind. The walls are obnoxiously colorful. The people are interesting, cultured and friendly. Although I am merely an intern, this job is important to me. It seems that the magazine world is not quite what I expected it to be, nor how it is portrayed on television. Truly, the creation of a magazine is like the ultimate group project.
The apartment is starting to look more like home. It is small, old and quaint and quite frankly, just about all an 18 year old intern could ask for. Tonight I'm heading out to buy a few things for the place. This week, for me, is really about getting adjusted and finding my own way. I need to get settled in, feel comfortable with my job and get used to the city before I can enjoy it the way I should...but that certainly won't take long.
...time to get back...I'm quite busy these days.
