i've had an art filled week!

So, in the past week i've been to seven individual exhibitions and have been to the Frieze Art Fair. Oh, how nice it is to live in a city where that's possible.

Fortunately, there's no class today because we've all got scheduled progress tutorials. Mine's on Thursday and I've very prepared, which means no scrambling to finish work before then. That said, I'm looking forward to a week of fun, art and maybe a bit of relaxation.

Tonight I've got tickets to a gig, a band called Girls. They're from San Francisco and are playing right around the corner from where I live. Tomorrow there's a private viewing party at the Saatchi Gallery. And then, as if that's not enough, another two gigs on Thursday and Friday night. It's such a crazy week! I'm learning more and more that the neighborhood that my hall is in is basically the youngest, hippest, coolest part of london.

The longer I've been here, the more I love it. I think I've finally made it through all of the hurdles of moving to a new country and can now actually really enjoy it. My bicycle is basically the best investment I ever made--I rarely have to use any other form of transportation and London has tons of public racks and bike lanes in the roads, it really is the most convenient form of transportation. The bicycle I have is about as English as it gets, it's a Pashley princess with a steel frame and a wicker basket. It's so lovely!

For anyone who hasn't already heard, after a nasty domain name takeover, my art/culture blog is no longer accordingtocaroline.com, but rather thedreamingweaver.com. It was time for a change anyway...
